Keeping Employees safe during Covid 19

Actions:

  • Update Rio Nectar Covid 19 website for employee review (Management)

  • Ensure all procedures are up to date by a daily review of Ministry of Health guidance (Management)

  • Speak with employees regularily before their shift about safety procedures in place (Management)

  • Follow all procedures under the guidance of the Ministry of Health (Employees)

  • Clean all areas in accordance with Covid 19 response plan (Employees)

  • Ensure all procedures are being followed and continue training daily under guidance of Ministry of Health (Management)

  • Employees are to read in full and screen daily before their shift (Employees)

COVID-19 Screening

Actions:

  • Employees will log into Covid 19 website prior to starting their shift and answer questions about their physical health and symptoms using the provincial list of COVID-19 symptoms and sign off. (Management)

  • Monitor the Ministry of Health daily to ensure all information is up to date. (Management)

How to control the risk of transmission at Rio Nectar

Actions:

  • Provide updated transmission information on the covid 19 website for employees to read prior to their shift. (Management)

  • Ensure all persons in the restaurant wear face coverings, if unable to wear face coverings, online ordering and curb side pick up will be initiated. (Employees)

  • Cleaning of all frequently used serfices every 15 to 30 minutes through out the day including but not limited to door handles, POS, and countertops. (Employees)

  • Limiting the amount of employees through out the day to only what is needed to provide services. (Management)

  • Lunch breaks to be taken 2 meters from any food serface and to be cleaned immediately when finished. (Employees)

  • Increased cleaning supplies on site and increased back up to ensure employees do not run out. (Management)

  • All staff to wear mask while inside the building including times the restaurant is closed. (Employees)

  • Employees will not be allowed to show up for their scheduled shift if symptoms are present until a negative Covid 19 screening is completed and symptoms subside. (Employees)

What to do if there is a potential case, or suspected exposure to, COVID-19 at Rio Nectar

Actions:

  • Contact Waterloo Public Health immediately and follow their guidance. Contact: 519-575-4608 (Management and Employee)

  • Gather all information needed under the guidance of Waterloo Public Health. (Management and Employee)

  • If an employee develops illness or customer inside during the shift, the restaurant is to close imedietly, Public Health to be the first contact and follow thier guidance. Once information is gather from public health, management is to be contact and provided all information. Management will then ensure all procedures are followed and continue to follow up with public health to limit more exposure and transmission. The same will occur if Rio Nectar is contacted by public health that there may have been an exposure. (Employee and Management)



Managing New Risks

Actions:

  • Management will monitor and update all procedures and education with Ministry of Health Guidelines. (Management)

  • Employees will be screened daily. (Employees)

  • Dine in has been stopped during Covid 19 to minimize risk. (Management)

  • We will check in with employees regularily to see how they are coping with and handeling the changes. (Management)

  • Daily check in’s to ensure staff is well educated about Covid 19 and procedures around Covid 19. (Management)

Monitoring Rio Nectars Safety Plan

Actions:

  • Covid 19 safety plan will be monitored daily and changed according to the Ministry of Health guidance. (Management)

  • We will electronically set up weekly meetings with Management and Staff to ensure proticals and procedures are being followed and note any changes that need to be made. (Management and Employees)

  • Ensure staff feels safe working during the pandemic and allow for feedback by employees if changes are nessicary to ensure a safe workplace. (Management)

  • Covid 19 website has an anonymous feedback section that can be utilized at any point by both Mangement and Employees. (Management and Employees)

  • If changes need to be made and implemented based on new information from Ministry or Employees, Management will change and execute accordingly. (Management)

Updates will go out electronically by email, be updated on the website, and all employees and Mangement will also be notifed in person. (CEO)
